Our Beers

Our Beers. Our Way.

As independent craft brewers, we challenge ourselves to make new and exciting ales, whilst keeping to the traditions of brewing. This fuels us to make the right choices when dreaming up our next ale, making sure we research and source only the finest UK ingredients.

Grey Trees Afghan Pale Ale is crafted like an American pale ale. We use Cascade, Citra and Simcoe hops. The Maris Otter malt provides a perfect light colour and dryness to complement the crisp taste and full aroma of the hops.

This gives a tropical hop aroma, paired with the unique taste combination of these three distinctive hop varieties, making it both full in flavour and crisply thirst-quenching.

Black Road Stout is an unadulterated stout. Dark, smooth and comforting with delicate roasted flavours and a bitter-sweet aftertaste that creates a lasting memory. Crafted with Marris Otter malt, roast barley, wheat, oatmeal, Goldings Hops, Welsh water and Grey Trees’ passion.

“The Black Road is best walked in the winter, when the bare trees allow enough moonlight to guide you home after a night with friends in the pub.”

Caradog’s is a beautiful bitter. Copper in colour, with a crisp flavour and a dry finish. Crafted with Crystal and Caragold malt, Challenger and Golding hops, Welsh water and Grey Trees’ passion.

It’s good to leave your mark on the world. Caradog led a 500-strong choir from our Cynon Valley to victory and established Wales as “The land of song”. We are making our mark, how about you?

This beer is a very pale ale, we have used a single hop variety called ‘Chinook’, this gives distinct, medium intensity spice and pine characteristics with subtle notes of grapefruit.

The subtle, fruity, grapefruit notes of this fine pale ale go well with cheese, white fish, and fowl, while its delicate spiciness suits dishes with a similar aromatic quality, such as curry, spiced soup and fragrant meats.

Grey Trees’ modern CAMRA award-winning golden ale. Alive with fresh citrus aromas which leave a subtle bitterness. Crafted with Marris Otter pale malt, US hops, Welsh water and Grey Trees’ passion.

The black gold we used to dig in our South Wales Valley powered the industrial revolution. Now we brew casks of our own liquid gold!

Strong pale ale. Grey Trees’ traditional British pale ale is a well balanced beer brewed with Crystal and Marris Otter pale malts, infused with US Chinook, Cascade and Simcoe hops. This imparts both a citrus aroma and citrus taste.

The greatest rewards come from catching a ball and running forward. Be inspired by how JPR danced his way forward.

Warming and rich with notes of dark fruits, coffee, chocolate and hazelnuts. Crafted with malts, roasted barley, hops, Welsh water and passion.

Believe it or not, it isn’t always sunny in Wales. We brew our Valley Porter for those adventurers in need of a comforting drink after braving the elements.
